Indie Author Spotlight – Mahi Mistry

One of the most inspiring posts I see on my many author forums is when someone takes the time to share their story. Each Friday, I’m going to feature a different indie author to help inspire all of you!

What is your pen name?

Mahi Mistry

What genre do you write in?

Romance.

How many books have you published?

Two.

What inspired you to become a writer?

Knowing that my words and stories affect the people by making them laugh, cry or even cope up with everyday life inspired me to become a writer.

What is your indie success story?

I am 19 and I self-published my debut novel at the age of 18 and till now, I could afford a canon camera, adopt another kitten, and planning to buy an iPad for more productivity. I bought books for my parents and brother and help pay monthly bills. But seeing my parents proud of doing what I do is the biggest successful thing I have done.

What are your marketing and advertising strategies?

Start now and let your friends and family know that you are writing. Make a Facebook Group, Instagram, Twitter, and even YouTube. Build your audience and have fans who will support you for the long term and engage with them. Engaging with readers helped me the most because they get excited and let their friends know about your book.

What are you working on right now?

I just finished second draft of Unfolding Kiara from The Unfolding Duet

Where can we find your work?
