Indie Author Spotlight – Toni Mobley

One of the most inspiring posts I see on my many author forums is when someone takes the time to share their story. Each Friday, I’m going to feature a different indie author to help inspire all of you!

What is your pen name?

Toni Mobley

What genre do you write in?

A little of everything.

How many books have you published?

2 short stories, 1 agented novel pending publishing.

What inspired you to become a writer?

I have an injury that makes conventional jobs difficult, always used writing and video games as an escape.

What is your indie success story?

The moment my short stories were bought by someone who wasn’t a friend or family member was the moment I felt like I had actually done it. The first thing I did was buy myself a Frappuccino from Starbucks.

What are your marketing and advertising strategies?

have quite a following on World of Warcraft and they have a lot of connections that help my block and stories reach others. So far I haven’t used any advertisements because my selfpub works are short stories only. Once my novel is officially published I’ll probably be using a mix of facebook, instagram, and Amazon adverts.

What are you working on right now?

I have a Young Adult Contemporary fiction that is almost done with editing, and am currently working on a Sci-Fi for Camp NaNoWriMo, as well as a YA Fantasy novel and a Fantasy Short Story.

Where can we find your work?

These are my two short stories on Amazon:
