I needed to get this out somewhere. I’m highly frustrated right now. I’m a member of a 40K strong indie author community. The people who run this group do an amazing job. One of the reasons this group is so successful is because it has strict rules and posting guidelines.
HOWEVER, I currently ran across a post asking for a basic, clear-cut step-by-step guide for new indie authors. There are at least 24 replies from other people who are looking for the same.
I happen to have written that exact book, and I can’t share the link due to a no self-promo rule! That’s 24 people who will never know the exact book they are looking for exists. They are THISCLOSE to the information they need.

I’m right here guys. I’m here for those of you who are curious about the self-publishing process, and are overwhelmed with the amount of information out there. I’m here for those of you who are on the fence about self-publishing, and want to know more. I’m here for those of you who need a clear and concise step-by-step guide to help you through the process. I’m here to help.
A Goodreads review: As a reader very often we all want from a book what we were promised from the blurb or even the introduction. Niki promised that this book wasn’t going into the nitty gritty about writing or a self help book on how to get published. Instead this was a step by step guide on the process to publishing a book. And this was exactly that: This is the first time I actually realized what I need to do be doing every step of the way. Do you always wonder what do you have to do during the second round of edits? When do you bring in beta readers? What exactly is an ISBN number? Also the chapters are concise but thorough in outlining what you need to know. I finished this book in less than an hour, and while I am knowledgeable about self publishing I found this to be a valuable resource to have on my shelf. One I will definitely refer back to time and and time again while I go through the process of self publishing. Because it was what it promised to be I would definitely say it deserves five stars!
